Research Interests

My research focuses on atmosphere-biosphere interactions, in general, and on aerosol and trace gas characterization, transport and deposition, in particular. My work continues to merge upon the integration of ground-based, airborne and remotely sensed data to answer questions concerning atmosphere-biosphere interactions. I am currently involved with the southern African research efforts NASA-Southern African Validation of EOS and the NASA Aerosol Robotic Network, and have an active role in organizing and coordinating the rapidly evolving SAFARI 2000: Southern African Regional Science Initiative.
