Ariana Marnicio is a multipassionate professional who loves people. With a decade of experience in academia and the nonprofit sector, she strives to help others find their purpose and build successful teams to get good work done.

Prior to joining Global Studies, Ariana designed and implemented capacity development training for humanitarian professionals and executed impact-oriented research. Her research spanned a variety of topics all related to the concentrations of Global Studies, including women’s political activism in the Arab world, delivery of healthcare to Syrian refugee populations, climate change and disaster preparedness in the Philippines, and the localization of humanitarian aid. Ariana loves her work because of all the remarkable people she has met and now calls dear friends around the world.

Ariana has previously worked at Concern Worldwide, the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative, the FXB Center for Health and Human Rights, and the Baker Institute for Public Policy. She holds a master’s degree in public health with a focus in Global Health from the Harvard TH Chan School, and a bachelor’s degree in Arabic from Georgetown University.
