Celebrating Our Faculty
On Wednesday, September 9th, the College and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences held their Faculty Promotion Celebration. The celebration, held at the Colonnade Club, was held to recognize the excellence in teaching, research, creative work, and service of the promoted faculty members.
Professor Laura Goldblatt was promoted to Associate Professor. As the Track Director for Global Commerce in Culture & Society (GCCS), Professor Goldblatt plays a vital role in supporting students and helping them find their unique contribution. Her academic work, focusing on state propaganda and material culture, is a wonderful example of the moral center and critical lens that Global Studies seeks to foster. You can learn more about Laura Goldblatt's work on her faculty page.
Professor Spencer Phillips was also promoted to Associate Professor. This past academic year, Professor Phillips served in the role of Track Director for Global Sustainability and did a remarkable job creating a sense of community and advocating for students' needs. His teaching has equipped students with practical skills to enter the job market, and the heart to champion environmental stewardship. Please join us in celebrating this remarkable milestone and thanking Professors Goldblatt and Phillips for their contributions to Global Studies.
